Abacus Umantis AG offers a cloud-based HR software suite (100% SaaS) for small and medium-sized businesses through to large enterprises. The two product lines—HR-Suite Flex and HR-Suite SmartKMU—cover end-to-end HR processes, including applicant tracking, job marketing, talent management, onboarding/offboarding, employee development, compensation, employee communication, HR core, digital personnel files, time management, digital signatures, employment references, workforce planning, travel and expense management, payroll (including payroll services in Germany), and data analysis with the Data Cockpit. The platform is GDPR-compliant and is hosted in Germany and Switzerland, operating in ISO-certified data centers (including NTT Switzerland SA) with a strong focus on data protection and IT security.

After completing the contracted services, or at the customer's request, Abacus Umantis returns or deletes the relevant customer data unless a retention obligation prevents this. This also applies to backups and test material.
Feature Scope
Employees can track time through the AbaClik mobile app, including voice control; AbaClock time clocks; AbaPoint NFC beacons for contactless tracking; or a browser via MyAbacus. The integrated solution avoids duplicate data entry: employee master data is entered once, and information is available from any location.
The system automatically accounts for breaks, flex time, overtime, and premiums for night shifts, holidays, and weekends in compliance with applicable rules. Supervisors have control and correction capabilities, supported by individual and hierarchical access rights.
The module integrates with the Abacus/Umantis HR Suite and can be deployed individually or as part of a complete solution. It is primarily aimed at the DACH region and is available in German and English. Sales contact is required for pricing.
- Reporting covers attendance, absences, working hours, and vacation plans; inbox workflows support vacation approvals and absence confirmations.
- Compatible time-tracking hardware is available in the AbaPoint online shop. A Umantis API is available subject to its terms of use.
- Platform-wide hosting is provided by NTT Switzerland SA in ISO-certified Swiss data centers. Backups and data at rest are encrypted using LUKS1 and AES-XTS 256-bit.
- Security measures include daily, weekly, and monthly backups with regulated retention and deletion; 24/7 monitoring; monthly security updates; rapid patches; and organizational access controls.
- Privacy by Design and Default, Swiss data residency, and support for GDPR and the Swiss Data Protection Act (DSG) are stated.

SLA: For disruptions to the Abacus Umantis AG SaaS solution, case handling begins within four hours during normal office hours, or within eight hours otherwise, for priority 1 incidents (partial or complete system failure). For priority 2 and 3 incidents, it begins within one business day. The response time refers to the start of analysis, not resolution.
