Terms and Conditions (T&C)
SAATKORN WorkTech Directory
Effective as of October 2026
This is a translation of our German terms and conditions (Allgemeine Geschäftsbedingungen). If the two versions differ, the German version prevails.
1. Provider and Scope of Application
1.1The operator of the SAATKORN platform (saatkorn.com, hereinafter “SAATKORN” or “we”) is Gero Hesse, SAATKORN, Brockweg 104, 33332 Gütersloh (see the Legal Notice for contact information).
1.2These Terms and Conditions apply to the use of the SAATKORN WorkTech Directory by prospective users (Section 3) as well as to all contracts with providers of WorkTech and HR solutions (hereinafter “Providers”) regarding company profiles and packages (Sections 4 through 13).
1.3Paid services pursuant to Sections 4 through 13 are intended exclusively for business owners as defined in Section 14 of the German Civil Code (BGB). Any deviating terms and conditions of the Provider shall not become part of the contract, even if we do not expressly object to them.
2. Services Provided by SAATKORN
2.1SAATKORN operates a directory of providers and products in the field of WorkTech/HR technology. Interested parties can search for, compare, and contact providers. Providers can create company profiles and expand them through paid packages.
2.2SAATKORN is a matching and information platform. Contracts for the listed products are concluded exclusively between interested parties and providers. SAATKORN is not a party to these contracts. Editorial services provided by SAATKORN as part of paid packages are governed by Section 8.
3. Use by Interested Parties
3.1Search, product comparison, AI chat, RFI export, and profile views are available to interested parties free of charge and without registration.
3.2Information in provider profiles (product features, prices, security and compliance information, references) is provided by the respective providers or has been obtained from their public sources. SAATKORN verifies this information only as part of an editorial plausibility check and assumes no liability for its accuracy, completeness, timeliness, or legal compliance.
3.3AI-generated content (e.g., comparison summaries, chat responses) is labeled as such. It may contain errors and does not constitute a purchase recommendation or advice.
3.4White paper downloads require the provision of an email address and consent to the storage of this contact information and its disclosure to the respective provider. Contact requests and demo requests are forwarded directly to the provider. The provider is responsible as the data controller for any further use and processing.
3.5The automated extraction of data from the directory (scraping), the circumvention of technical protective measures, and any use that impairs the operation of the platform are prohibited.
4. Provider Account and Conclusion of Contract
4.1Vendors register via the Vendor Portal using an email address and password. The account becomes active only after the email address has been confirmed. The contract for the FREE package is concluded upon registration.
4.2Paid packages are purchased via the online checkout. The contract for the selected package is concluded upon completion of the checkout process by confirming the paid order.
4.3The vendor warrants that they are acting on behalf of a company and are authorized to represent it. Login credentials must be treated as confidential. The vendor is liable for actions taken through their account to the extent that they are responsible for them.
4.4Company profiles created using the account will be published by SAATKORN following editorial review, typically within 6 business days (based on the calendar at SAATKORN’s headquarters). SAATKORN may refuse publication if the company does not fit the subject area or if the content violates Section 7.
5. Packages, Prices, and Payment
5.1SAATKORN offers the FREE, STARTER, PROFESSIONAL, and MARKET LEADER packages. The scope of services and prices are as listed on the pricing page at the time of booking. The contents and price of the booked package are made available for download during the booking process. All prices are net, plus applicable sales tax.
5.2Payment for paid packages is due annually in advance. It is due within 6 business days (as determined by the calendar at SAATKORN’s headquarters) from the date the annual invoice is sent to the provider. Invoices are provided electronically.
5.3If a payment is not received, the package remains active for the time being, and the payment attempt is repeated. If the payment ultimately fails, the profile is downgraded to the FREE package. Content exceeding the FREE limit is hidden, not deleted.
5.4SAATKORN may adjust prices for subsequent terms with at least six weeks’ notice prior to renewal. In this case, the provider may terminate the agreement by the end of the current term.
6. Term, Renewal, Termination, Package Change
6.1Paid packages have a term of one year. They are automatically renewed for an additional year unless canceled by the end of the term with a 3-month notice period.
6.2Termination must be submitted via the customer portal in the Vendor Dashboard or in writing. The plan remains active until the end of the paid term and is then downgraded to FREE.
6.3Upgrading to a higher plan is possible at any time. A downgrade takes effect at the start of the next term. Amounts already paid will not be refunded on a pro-rata basis.
6.4The FREE plan is open-ended and can be terminated by either party at any time by deleting the account.
6.5The right to terminate the agreement for cause and Section 5.4 remain unaffected. For SAATKORN, cause exists in particular if the provider repeatedly violates Section 7 or is more than 30 days in arrears with a payment.
7. Provider Content and Rights of Use
7.1The provider maintains their own profile: company information, product descriptions, logos, screenshots, videos, white papers, contact persons with photos, reference logos, and statements. The provider is solely responsible for this content.
7.2The Provider warrants that it holds all necessary rights, that the content is accurate and not misleading, and that it does not infringe upon any third-party rights (in particular trademark, copyright, personality, and data protection rights). The necessary consent has been obtained for photos of employees and the naming of reference customers.
7.3The Provider grants SAATKORN the non-exclusive, geographically unrestricted right to reproduce, make publicly available, and edit the content (e.g., abridgement, translation, format adjustments), and to prepare it for AI-powered search, comparison, and chat functions.
7.4SAATKORN may pre-fill and supplement profile data using automated processes based on the Provider’s public sources (in particular, its website). The Provider shall review these suggestions and approve them for publication—after making any corrections it has requested, if applicable.
7.5Upon first request, the Provider shall indemnify SAATKORN against any third-party claims arising from a violation of Section 7.2, including reasonable legal defense costs.
7.6SAATKORN may remove content or temporarily deactivate the profile if there is a violation of these Terms and Conditions or applicable law, or if such a violation is seriously alleged. The Provider will be informed immediately.
8. Editorial Services and Labels
8.1Package components such as newsletter mentions, exclusive newsletter editions, interviews, or articles will be provided within the respective term in coordination with the Provider. There is no entitlement to a specific time, a specific placement, or a specific reach.
8.2Editorial content is created by SAATKORN. SAATKORN maintains editorial independence and labels paid content to the extent required by law.
8.3The designation “SAATKORN-verified” indicates that SAATKORN has conducted an editorial review of the profile. It is not a certification, a quality guarantee, or a statement regarding product characteristics.
8.4Unused editorial services expire at the end of the term if the provider has not provided the necessary cooperation (scheduling appointments, providing materials).
9. Leads and Data Protection
9.1SAATKORN makes contact information provided by prospective customers via whitepaper downloads, contact forms, or demo requests available to the provider in the dashboard. Upon submission, the provider becomes the sole controller within the meaning of Art. 4 GDPR with respect to the storage, use, and processing of this data.
9.2The Provider may use this data only for the purpose to which the prospective customer has consented (providing the white paper, responding to the inquiry, providing information about the relevant product). The Provider shall safeguard the rights of data subjects, in particular the right to withdraw consent and the right to erasure, and shall direct prospective customers to its privacy policy.
9.3The disclosure of leads to third parties, the sale of such leads, or their inclusion in unsolicited mass mailings is prohibited.
9.4In all other respects, SAATKORN’s Privacy Policy applies.
10. Availability, Changes, Suspension, and Deletion
10.1SAATKORN strives to ensure high platform availability but does not guarantee a specific level of availability. Maintenance work and disruptions, particularly involving third-party providers (hosting, payment service providers, AI models), may result in service interruptions.
10.2SAATKORN may further develop, modify, or discontinue platform features, provided that the essential scope of services included in the subscribed package remains unchanged.
10.3The provider may pause their profile at any time. A paused profile is not visible to prospective clients. Active packages will continue unchanged.
10.4The provider may delete their account. The deletion takes effect after a 30-day waiting period. During this time, the account can be restored. If a package is currently active and paid for, deletion is only possible after the term has ended. Until then, the profile can be paused and the package can be canceled.
10.5Upon termination of the contract, the rights of use under Section 7.3 expire. Newsletters already sent, published podcast episodes, and posts on social media channels remain in place.
11. Liability
11.1SAATKORN bears unlimited liability in cases of willful misconduct and gross negligence, in cases of injury to life, limb, or health, and under the Product Liability Act.
11.2In the event of a breach of material contractual obligations (cardinal obligations) due to slight negligence, liability is limited to the foreseeable damage typical for this type of contract, but not to exceed the annual fee for the affected package. Otherwise, liability for slight negligence is excluded.
11.3SAATKORN is not liable for providers’ content, for the success of leads or reach, for the actions of prospective customers, or for damages resulting from the use of AI-generated content, unless 11.1 or 11.2 applies.
11.4The provider is responsible for backing up its own content. SAATKORN is not obligated to restore deleted content beyond the retention period specified in 10.4.
12. Changes to the Terms and Conditions
12.1SAATKORN may amend these Terms and Conditions with future effect if this is necessary for legal, technical, or economic reasons and does not unreasonably disadvantage the Provider.
12.2Changes will be communicated to the Provider via email at least six weeks before they take effect. If the Provider does not object by the time the changes take effect, the amended Terms and Conditions shall be deemed accepted. This consequence will be noted in the notification. In the event of an objection, SAATKORN may terminate the contractual relationship at the end of the current term.
13. Final Provisions
13.1The law of the Federal Republic of Germany applies, excluding the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods.
13.2The place of jurisdiction for all disputes with providers who are merchants, legal entities under public law, or special funds under public law is Gütersloh.
13.3Declarations concerning the contract must be made in writing (email is sufficient).
13.4Should any individual provisions be invalid, the validity of the remaining provisions shall remain unaffected.
