Feature Scope
Personio Payroll uses HRIS data, including employee master data, time and absences, for monthly payroll runs. It handles gross-to-net calculations, partial months, one-time payments, allowances, deductions, corrections and off-cycle payments. Employees can access digital pay stubs through the portal.
Payroll teams can use review and approval workflows, task lists, a payroll calendar, change tracking and audit logs. Role-based permissions control access. Reports and exports support Finance and Controlling, while public APIs enable data exchange with third-party systems such as accounting, banking and BI tools.
Payroll is a separate add-on within Personio’s subscription model. Pricing generally depends on employee count and package and is quoted upon request. The Core Pro Plan is required for custom API integrations.
- Public APIs include a Recruiting API. The Developer Hub provides documentation, an API reference and a changelog; Zapier and other iPaaS integrations are available through the Marketplace. There are no official SDKs, so custom authentication and token handling must be implemented.
