Retention & deletion
Backup copies of customer data are retained for up to 90 days after creation and then deleted from backups. Pyn deletes customer data from production environments upon written request. Under its data processing agreement, Pyn returns or deletes customer personal data at the end of the agreement or on request, unless retention is required by law.
Pyn is SOC 2 Type 2 and GDPR-compliant; DPA and contract review services are offered. The underlying AWS infrastructure complies with ISO 27001, even though Pyn itself does not claim ISO 27001 certification.
