Use Case

Opacity helps organizations prepare for and comply with the EU Pay Transparency Directive taking effect in 2026 by enabling pay transparency, job architecture, and gender pay gap analysis. Employers must disclose pay levels in job postings/interviews, provide employees access to average pay for equal/same-value work, annually inform employees of their right to pay information, and publish gender pay gap metrics. Companies with 100+ employees must report and publish gender pay gap data (including averages, medians, variable pay components, quartile distributions, and gaps by employee category). The platform’s job architecture and compensation analysis modules support defining equal work or work of equal value and establishing objective, gender-neutral pay policies and bands so employers can detect and remediate unexplained gaps (e.g., >5%).

Connect Opacity to your HRIS and payroll systems to centralize employee and pay data, eliminate manual spreadsheet exports, and keep compensation data up to date automatically. With real-time data flowing in, HR and Compensation teams can analyze gender pay gaps, identify potential pay equity risks, and report on pay transparency metrics required by the EU Pay Transparency Directive. Use integrations to accelerate job architecture setup (job families, levels, pay bands) and provide managers controlled access to pay bands and team pay-gap insights via SSO—reducing ad‑hoc data requests and improving compliance readiness. Beyond the directive, the integrated data can support HR analytics and ESG/CSRD reporting.

Target Audience

HR, People/Compensation teams, and compliance leaders in organizations operating in the EU or hiring in the EU, especially companies with 100+ employees that must report gender pay gaps from 2026/2027 and those preparing objective, gender-neutral pay policies and bands.
